2. The Search For Magiq: The Neithercouriers

@Saberlane - Do we…do we order a pizza? Have we all gone mad? Is pizza the new time donut?! :pizza:

I suggest we ask them to write the message on the inside lid of the box as it might slightly increase our chances

I just think we have a few more avenues we can try in the mundane methods before we spend any more of our dwindling magiq reserves.

We could also ask a friend of a friend to do us a crazy favour to try and even further the message from us and magiq. Do we have an eau de mundan perfume that we can spray around?

Exactly, they asked us to try to find the ‘edge’. So far we @ed them here and Sabes tried to go in person to Marty’s place… That’s not exactly a lot of attempting

As much as I love the pizza idea, I think we have already seen that the lead veil is gonna keep us from Marty no matter what third parties we employ. I imagine the pizza delivery person would spend the same amount of time as Sabes did, going up and down that road. Lost in a place that should be familiar.

This whole thing has me thinking, thinking about how the BoB was once written out of history. This feels like someone is trying to do the same thing to us, hide us away from the world until we fall away to the six corners. Especially with the similarity to Kemetic’s workings… I wouldn’t be surprised if The Silver are somehow behind this. Even without The Storm they aren’t without their own twisted magiqs.

Valid, honestly. I think we could send a letter now and if we want to poke at the veil more, we could do that while we wait.

We discussed Silver involvement earlier and I concur with your assessment… It fits their modus operandi perfectly, and they’ve surely been out for revenge after Deirdre took out the Storm. And based on what Augo said, it fits the tools they were using on Sacha.

I’m not against sending a letter, I just think we need more data before we can figure things out.

I do want to mention time concerns - my fear is that the longer we wait, the higher the odds are that we lose access to the Neithercouriers. The veil could be closing in. We should try to share as much as we can with the Searchers before this method of communication is unavailable.

Okay, some late night/half asleep thoughts:

Are we sure that we’re the target? Yes we’re the ones being cut off, but is that cause we’re whoever this is target, or is it cause we’re a powerful ally for the target? I mean, if I was on the outside of this, I wouldn’t necessarily be suspicious about loosing contact with us. There could be a load of technical reasons before someone would draw the magiq conclusion.

Second random thought. Everyone keeps telling us to be careful of the magiq we use cause it’s depleating, right? Why don’t we try sending some sort of message out, but use Figuration? We’ve had a lot of new members come in, old members returning, surely we can craft a dream story or something to at least get a warning out, if not a full message?

Again, just random thoughts

I’ve been having the same concern, Rev. If we loose contact to the couriers we will be totally cut off from magiqal assistance. It seems like the sanctuary wants to help us, as best as they can. Maybe we should also ask if they have advice for us to work our way around this veil.

The idea of using a figuration is actually really interesting. It creates magiq, right? So would we be not only sending out a message, but also be putting more magiq into the world?
It certainly can’t hurt trying.

A draft of a letter, that we could potentially use:

This sounds perfect, now we just need a sender and an encanterance for the sender. I gotta say, I’m waaaaaay to tired for rhyme right now lol.

I like they sound of it. Good just job! :+1:

Oh gosh, encanterance. Hm.

There’s nothing that says it has to be a poem, right? What if the sender made an origami butterfly, or printed out/drew a butterfly. And they could write a phrase on its wings like: “To our Neithercourier, come cross this magic barrier.” As well as writing “ring the bell” on it as well.

I’m just spitballing here. :joy: Hopefully y’all have some good ideas?

I don’t think it has to rhyme but I do think it might have to be an “utterance”.

Can’t blame a man for trying. :joy:

“Neithercourier, come to us. Ring the bell with this utterance”?

Maybe stockpile a couple?

“A silver bell chimes.
A message to send.
The hour is now.
Courier come to me.”

“I summon a ringing bell, for I have word with need for swift feet.”

Anybody else? I’d keep writing them but I have to hit the hay. It’s been a long, weird day.

You’re good at this, Sabes! It’s almost like you work with books or something hahaha.
