What's Your Signature Item or Accessory?

Ah I love that! Good for tricks, personality readings or a just a simple game. Gambit was always my favourite X-Man, which adds to the appeal I think…

Yeah I’ve been practicing simple cardistry and magic tricks for a couple of years now (though I fell out of it a while ago). But just being able to play a game, do a trick, or even just play with them when I’m bored has helped me not loose my mind in many boring situations. Great ice breakers as well.

ooh yes, it’s always useful to have a pack of cards on hand… stuck indoors? pack of cards! need a distraction? pack of cards! just for aesthetic reasons? Same thing, pack of cards! It’s a great concept, and definitely interesting to hear about!

Oooh, Love these! The aesthetic of the backs goes so well with the ace! Very nice… I do love me some tech-inspired minimalistic designs!

Those are amazing! I used to carry certain decks of cards around, but these are another level of cool.

I have way too many to be honest. More than one for every day of the week.

I have worn a tungsten ring since I’ve graduated high school. Technically two separate rings, I swapped the first one out for my wedding band, my current one.
It was what inspired my online name and I always have it on.
Also, at this point I can’t take it off with out a ridiculous effort. My finger essentially grew around my ring, so I don’t even try taking it off. Being it is tungsten I don’t have to worry about it being damaged though!

@Tungstenedge oh wow!! That’s dedication! It’s a very cool ring… strength is its own kind of beauty, and tungsten definitely has that down! Wedding rings always have such a lovely feel to me… It makes me happy to see them! Thanks for sharing!!

always carrying cards is such a cool thing to be known for! my grandma always tells me to carry a pack of cards with me but I absolutely don’t, I’d better step up my descendant game.

particular accessories change but I’m generally wearing four layers of ‘bumbling professor’ or ‘stuffy undercover wizard’, with a badly tied cravat and my terrible old tweed jacket with one button left and a pocket hanging loose. I’m firmly committed to looking like a quest-giving NPC. picturing everyone in this thread as a character w their accessory is really fun!

It’s great, isn’t it? For you I’m imagining the dearest little @goblin wizardfolk, it’s almost reminiscent of the feeling you get from looking at an illustrated The Wind in the Willows book! But of course, a goblin instead of an animal. Is a goblin an animal? Maybe they’re plants? :blossom:

I’m sorry but my inner GM is having too much fun imagining all of us in an adventuring party, going around saving lives, causing problems and random shenanigans. Giving tavern owners a reason to stay in business.

@SabineBean (very pleased despite all reason because that kind of comfortable hobbitness is certainly a direction in which I strive). oh no that’s such a sweet mental image. I have no goblin taxonomy answers but - plant goblins! fungal goblins! I can’t stay up much later but I’m definitely adding that to my doodle list. thanks!

edit: @Shadow !! thanks that’s what I’ll be daydreaming on for the next while

We have to admit @goblin it makes too much sense.

All the guild houses are just various adventure guilds, brought together under a massively ambitious project to unite them under the Ackerly Green Banner. From there word is spread of the Home of Legends, Newbies come in and are sent to their chosen guild to hone their expertise. Then when they gain enough experience they are sent out with a party of members form other guilds to help the world with whatever needs done.

Oh this question is too easy! I’m the sort of person who finds one look that works, and then won’t change it for ages. So for the past several years, my wardrobe has been almost exclusively purple and black, with bold purple lipstick being my signature item. I have like 6 tubes of the same shade in different purses and makeup bags I think. Idk I feel like it brings out the cold tones in my skin and I enjoy looking dramatically half dead.
I also wear fingerless gloves basically all fall/winter, with crochet or knit ones for casual clothes, and lace for formal wear.

A fellow goth, @Sellalellen ? Fantastic! Though I’m… y’know, budget goth. I don’t have the money for fantastic looks so I go with a casual skeleton-centric aesthetic most days. I adore that lipstick, by the way! So shiny! These pictures are such a fantastic look! Love that dress, too! You’re rocking it!!

Thank you! I’m somewhat hesitant about calling myself a goth, because although that is the clothing style I like, I don’t listen to much of the music and so the purists are rather gatekeeper-y. Idk. I’m definitely a budget goth too lol. All my clothes are from thrift stores, and most of my accessories are handmade. Crocheting is a surprisingly useful skill for a budget goth, because I can make all the lace I need myself. Also Halloween decorations are getting less tacky somehow? I found some really good stuff for my room last October.

Oh I feel you, but purists exist in all subcultures, even the ones that, theoretically, shouldn’t even be able to have purists. The trick is to ignore them. Like, I’m a goth! I don’t listen to the music, I’m easily scared, I’m not into horror in the slightest, but the fashion and general aesthetic? That’s me! Also hi five on finding halloween trinkets, some of my best items are from halloween shops. Wish halloween wasn’t diminishing in popularity in england… I go out in october looking for some gentle spooky friends, maybe a skeleton, or even a pumpkin, and instead I see Santa . In October . :skull: Still, glad to hear you had a good haul! I should go to more charity shops…
