Tokens of Affections

Inspired by a discussion of the game Harvest Moon, prompted by @Viviane
In the game Harvest Moon, players charm NPC’s with tokens of affection. Flowers, fossils, baked goods, etc. Some NPC’s are pickier than others, accepting only flowers that bloom during a certain season rather than flowers of any varieties.

So, my question to you dear Mountaineers, what are your accepted tokens of affection? Perhaps they are of Neithernorian in nature, or totally of the mundane? Must they be the glittering dagger stolen from a dragon’s lair, or a daisy plucked from a dew-covered garden?

Personally, my accepted tokens of affection are:

  • Embroidery thread in any shade of pink, though cotton pink is preferred.

  • Potted plants, held in comfortable terracotta pots

  • Books, of any sort, literally help me hoard books.

Ooh fun! Definitely late to the party but:

  1. Thick Notebooks with ornate covers
  2. Shiny or smooth rocks, bonus points if they’re both
  3. Licorice jellybeans
  4. Literally anything soft, the more plush the better
  5. Knives. Cool looking but practical knives

Didn’t realize this was three months old. Oops :no_mouth: sometimes I get March and May mixed up when they’re written down.

No problem Avalon! We are totally in favor of resurrecting old threads here :cjheart:

Hmhmhm… feels weird to look at my attempt at a half assed rhyme up there. Pretty accurate tho. Avalon, dont worry about necrothreading - we’re like… one of the only places ive found on the internet that allow it and encourage it.
