CJ loves telling us all his secrets. 
Understanding that it’s not all been planned yet, how do you envision “complications” being involved if the narrative of the new experience will move without dependence on reader input? Will these be the same sort of complications as we had in TMP fragments (i.e. codes, papercraft, etc.) or more freeform narrative solutions, like what we’ve been doing in the Search for Magiq? Or a bit of both? Something new?

Because… there will be varying levels of success.
One example:
Lore reveals will often be connected to your successes/failures. The story will always continue, but if you didn’t discover or solve everything, you also won’t have learned everything.
There may even be a metric in place to determine your level of success and what you “earn” narrative-wise.

Think of it like the narrative equivalent of a video game’s “Completion Rate.”
