The Cabinet (General On/Off Topic Thread)

Okay honestly I feel like I’m crazy! Does anyone really find themselves acting JUST like your guild in real life? In real life situations? Cause HECK, I feel like now I’ve been a Thornmouth for years!! I’m all analytical with mine and others emotions, I flippin observe, experiment, and draw conclusions about people’s behavior so I can make predictions about how they’ll act in response to certain situations. I do that TO EVERYONE. Even myself! I am extremely introspective with my emotions to the point I’m tracing it back to when someone stole my chocolate bar in kindergarten. I feel like I’m INSANE for doing that. Who does that??? :joy: :joy: anyways, just wanted to get my insanity of my chest. Sorry if you think I’m weird

I do that… Maybe not stolen chocolate bar levels, but all the same :stuck_out_tongue:
Besides, you were drawn to this guild for a reason, right?

I suppose so but it just feels like no one else is thinking about stuff like that as much as me! I tell people stuff like that and oh man you should see their faces!! :fearful: is what its like. Nice to know I’m not the only crazy person here :joy:

ALWAYS! Since I’ve joined Gossmere it has like consumed me. I left the house decked out in green jeans, a tan sweater and pink scarf.
It took me a bit to figure out I was wearing Gossmere colors, but when I did I got all proud.
I’ve become more empathetic and kind. Both traits I value dearly.

Leaving the city and…what a day.
I went to the Metropolitan museum and tried to find the painting that we saw Mrs.Green standing in front of in that one photo. I was told it had been recently loaned to an interested third party by a guide. I saw several people I thought could be magi and while I never saw it in was only blocks away from Ackerly Green publishing. After this trip I’m feeling re-energize and inspired. Doing research on Fraylily and other flora. But I want to start focusing on making Op Nepenthe more magical, imbued our scarves with a spell to protect those on the streets… Anyway if anyone wants to talk I’m online.

Looking at all of the paintings made me decide to paint my own little picture, since I have some canvas! I’m sorta “eh” at how it turned out, but I’ll post pictures tomorrow, when it’s dry!

CJ has me thinking.
Our guilds, these small brilliant clans that we are creating.
But lets really define them. Go out there and make these clans as brilliant and unique as they should be!
Here is my mini challenge to really anyone willing to try, create more.
Write stories about the warlords of Ebenguard and the Druids of Balimora.
Take photography of art that remind you of the guilds, or create some of your own.
From the past to the present let us show what our guilds have accomplish in History
even if the stories are the work of fiction.

I myself am currently focusing on Gossmere, I noticed in the book it talks of Gossmere being loose tribes and I want to explore that more. Anyone who wants to join me on this made expedition feel free!

Honestly it might just be me but?? The movie The Craft reminds me of some of the guilds.
Also, I highly recommend the movie, it’s literally amazing.

A random find this seemed like a good place to put. While looking up stuff on the Map of Fairyland I found this news article from the Boston Post on Dec 25th, 1920 which talks about it and includes a picture. Just thought it was pretty neat. I hadn’t expected something that was created in England in 1920 would be featured in an American newspaper like this also in 1920. I guess information still moved around pretty quick pre-internet.
