These are my two old white whiskered familiars, Ada and Grace. They are degus, or Chilean ground squirrels. I have been keeping the same rotating female colony for 15 years, but these are the last two very old ladies from the colony of six. They are respectively five and six. They have also all been rescues.
I loved looking at everyone’s floofs though and good boys/girls, and meows, and spooders. :)
Well this was an excellent post to scroll through! I love the variety of all these lil’ bbs.
I would like to introduce you have to the light of my life, Indiana! (Indy for short, and named after the famous Jones. He also thinks it belongs in a museum)
Oh goodness this thread’s CUTE POWER gets stronger every time I open it. Please give all your fluffy pets pats for me, and all the others bugs or whatever they like. I do not know what critters like, but they deserve appreciation too!
13 more days until I am home and can see my new baby familiar, and this thread has me so excited about it. You all have the sweetest looking familiars this side of the magiq veil
This is my baby girl, Gilly! She was named after the wildling from GOT. She’s a rescue and has been with us for almost 4 years now. Honestly my whole reason for living I love her so much:heart:
I’ve read a few posts about familiars and learned that they can be summoned or appear in your dreams. I can only vaguely remember that I had a few dreams about spiders. Lots and lots of spiders. I have arachnophobia, but I am learning to overcome it. My house is plagued with them making their nests underneath cabinets and such, but they are benevolent. If I see them crawl across the floor, I would just sweep and then bring them outside of the house. They represent patience, perseverance, and artistry, and these are the kinds of traits I want to improve. Moreover, they signify my fear that I need to tame, and the more I see them in real life, the less scared I feel towards them. I do not keep one as a personal pet, but I just let the others live where they settled down inside my house.
