Wind in gold? Find in gold?
So given that the Fās are predominant, the answer is either five or four. That means the words we get from the phrase either needs to be:
()ive()
OR
()our()
If that makes any sense
ORE???
is that the possible answer?
edit: probably not
Bind in gold?
hives, fives, lives
sours, yours, pours
so if it is metal mixing mint of gold, mint in gold, etc. I think the answer would be pours? Four?
āMetal fixing ()in() of goldā
Rivet?
Or something like āMetal fixing bind or holdā? That would also be Rivet
āMetal fixing pins to holdā?
I like this one the best so far
I think it may be time to sleep for me, but just to go off @Vivianeās post.
FETAFIXINFINFFOL
āMetal Fixing Pins to Holdā
F Replaces the first letter, and the last letter is missing
Rivet
Five
For those wanting to keep notes. I am also not completely confident in this one quite yet, the phrase just feels a little off, so if anyone has anything else, keep it coming
Another variation that would have the same answer and might be slightly more grammatically correct would be āmetal fixing pins to boltā. As in, you bolt things together with rivets. Doesnāt change much, but might add a little weight to the rivetā>five theory?
My vote, as I too head off to sleep, is for anything where the number ends up being five.

22- FETAFIXINFINFFOL

Yeah, looking at it in the light of day, Iām not sure about 22. Thereās clearly some substitution going on with the Fās, and I really want the answer to turn into 5, but I canāt guarantee that theory is good.
If weāre looking for other ways of ciphering, Iām convinced that I or IN might be good letters to check. And Iām not sure about X, but also canāt think of a consistent substitution that would get rid of it.
Well collecting all the numbers and gueses together, thereās an obvious pattern here.

It looks like a poetic structure to me. But itās not the Minnying.
Youāve got a 4 stanza poem, increasing line lengths, or maybe itās a key to the rhyme schemeā¦
Iām the same way. 22 looks so weird and I want it to be 5. I wish we knew what the unscrambled sentence was. Iām going to keep trying.

Thanks in large part to some lists of words obviously kept for Scrabble purposes, I have compiled a spreadsheet of all possible words for each part of 22 (and then removed ones that seemed way too obscure to actually be used, like aa or polt).
Now to stare at it until it makes senseā¦
And, because I felt like it may help, words that could be the answer for both five and four (though I really think itāll be five):
