Brachursis is a type of animal in the Briarverse.
Description
The name Brachursis is thought to be derived from the scientific name for crabs and bears. ‘Brachyura’ is the infraorder to which crabs belong to and ursis means ‘bear’ in Latin.
Usage
Brachursis is the name of Fragment Five. After using magimystical hacking to get into the Cagliostro’s email account, the Mountaineers found a reference to a ‘brachursis box’ in his emails. Recruits identified this as a word of interest and realized that it was the fragment. The animal pieces contained on the fragment page were used to assemble the Translation, which was necessary to solve the second Magimystical Assessment.
