Oh look, the work topic again!

Since last I was here, I’m mostly down to the TV job with an occasional vacation to work a stage shift.

Not too long after hitting the 5 year mark at the store, it closed.

While the store was closing, I mentioned to a few of my coworkers that there was an opening at the TV job doing my 4-day week so that I could shuffle over to someone else’s schedule, and one of them took me up on getting the info for it.

Now I have mostly normal-person hours, which means it’s now easier for me to get overtime. I was also given an award for doing a good job shortly after the schedule change.

New objective is to hope no tropical systems require the use of my air mattress, since I am now on the short list for people requested to do work sleepover if the weather gets bad.

been trying to focus on the TTRPG job stuff. I recently did a con with my project and successfully sold a few copies, and now im doing a charity event for the month of October and December with the intent of trying to get some sessions going and raising money for charity. The grind seems pretty much like it never ends, though, and as much as i try my best its still taking a while to get anywhere. Im glad ive found some peers in TTRPGs though, and im glad im finding some level of consistent progress.

I recently discovered i had a fund put away when i was born for education, and it made some dividends - i have something like 2.5k now to throw at certifications, and that means im going to start aiming to get a COMPTIA A+ certification, and try to break into Tech.
