Iām down.
Writing - sounds good!
Drawing - not so muchā¦
Definitely interested
Awesome, Iāll start a thread explaining the rules and stuff. I think the campfire might be a good section for it?
I agree. I think thatās the best place for all fanart and fanfiction type material.
The thread is here! Exquisite Corpse - Collaborative Storytelling with the Mounties!
Let me know if anyone wants to start us off, or I can whip up a quick little starter.
I was also wondering if there was already a thread in Campfire for Mounties to share their unique story about how they found the Guide, and became Mountaineers?
I donāt think there is, but thatās a really good idea!
@Deyavi, I love the idea of āFinding The Wayā but since a lot of people are probably going to talk about ARGs and ads and things Iām gonna move it to The Cabinet where itās cool to be āout-of-world.ā
Itās a great idea, thanks for creating it.
And @Revenir, LOVE Exquisite Corpse!
Darn, I should have elaborated that it was supposed to be a creative writing prompt.
Thatās what I was wanting to doā¦ Iāve been thinking about it at work all day
Maybe if you work up a post with your creative version of finding the mountaineers? That way youāll set the tone for the topic? And then we can move it back to Campfire!
Would love to read what you guys come up with!
Please do. I was super excited about the idea of seeing more from the Mounties giving themselves a place in-world, even if itās outside the storyline.
Thatās what my plan was, but I got ahead of myself, and now Iām writing another bit for Magic Affinities. Because poor planning.
It happens! Iāll probably still end up doing my little bit of keyboard Magiq to spin a tale
Please get the prompt together. I really want to write this one!
Iāve changed the description of the topic, and myself and Nomad have both stepped forward with our stories.
Hopefully that inspires a few more folks.
Iām wondering if I should message those what posted about ads and provide a little more guidance, specifically.
I think Iāve done more writing for The Campfire in the past week than I have anything else. I stopped writing fanfiction a long time ago, because I got tired of āThatās not canon!ā trolls all over even the most creative and well written work. I havenāt experienced that here.
Following the teachings of the prolific and successful sci-fi author, Isaac Asimov, Iām trying to focus less on āsingle project completionā, perfection, and editing. I love that this gives me a chance to just generate ideas, write because I feel like it, and use a little creativity.
Not everyone will like it, and I accept thatā¦
But Iām grateful to be here, and have this endlessly fascinating community to draw from when my creative juices are low, or my morale is down.
