Hello everyone!
In my scrolling of the interwebs, my history of virtual distance-based fitness challenges popped up in the form of a free event celebrating the Olympics. Run the Edge (who do the annual Run the Year challenge) are trying to get their community to log 500,000 miles throughout the Olympics in Paris (today through August 11th).
With our early days having ties to the city (and all the relevant locations might be on the picture of the map they show on the challenge page), I thought some others may want to partake as well! I’m not sure if non-US folks would be able to join (the bottom of the sign up page says “join thousands across the US”), but you can pick as many or as few miles to do over the span of time as you like (I picked 25 for now, since it was closest to a mile per day).
The site is nationwiderun.org and my team code is UH9CPL (Stony Harbor Crabs!) if anyone wants to join me!
