I have also been learning hieroglyphs! Primarily Middle Egyptian. I may or may not have been putting it off recently, though. I would really, really, love to learn how to write hieratic too, but most of the resources I’ve seen reccomend you learn the hieroglyphs first, since that’s what hieratic is based on. The goal at the end is to be able to both speak and write in Middle Egyptian.
Previously in school I took Japanese, but I never really used it, so I’ve forgotten most of it by now. It’s kind of a shame, and I’ve been considering trying to pick it back up again.
