When i got back i began to read it. Well written, a collection of italian authors from 1272 to 1904. I thought i wouldnt find anything, until out of the blue…
a dried bundle of flowers, wrapped in blue and white ribbon. I havent touched it yet, but i was drawn to that book now for a reason, im sure. Ill investigate soon. Figured id share with you guys, curious as you are about the pull of the world, and ask about your own finds!
! And hey we’re close! I’m in Daytona.
Here’s something you may find interesting. It’s not a “find” but it’s a book that came to me years ago through a family member.
Remember the name of the Temple that the complete Translation took place in during TMPv1?
Update on the boquet. Extracting the boquet from the ribbon, and doing my very beast to not tear it, i unfurled it until i got to the knots (yes, it was knotted. Unfortunately i cant untie 90 year old knots.)
From the ribbon, i got an address, and the name of a now long gone building. “V’D. VA. 2424, Bonded Member Telegraph Delivery service.” Was the message, and the address was 1012 E. Armory Blvd, Kansas City MO. How the heck did this travel all the way to a tiny book seller in Orlando? Why the boquet? Was he retiring? I believe so.
I wish I could get a hold of those other volumes…
Oo. Rosicrucian Library. interesting.
We found out missouries got a database of business we can search, including dead ones, but no way to search by address. https://bsd.sos.mo.gov/businessentity/besearch.aspx?searchtype=0 hopefully i might be able to get a little help around here?
A gold and silver plated Queen Victoria penny, I bought it for my mum as a present for her birthday!
Woah 0w0 i assume those arent exactly normal, how’d you find it?
It’s a limited edition coin that was made to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s birth! I stumbled across it through a Facebook advert for the Westminster Collection
I’ve had many little finds here and there recently. Here’s my most recent find: on the first of June we had a pretty intense thunderstorm. It happened not long after midnight, and just as quickly and suddenly as it had come, it was over. The next day, on my way to work, something shiny caught my eye. It was this:
I’m pretty sure it’s bismuth, and from some online searches, it turns out bismuth is a stone of transformation and change, helping to adapt to this change with a calm assurance. Not surprising, as this is one of the last weeks I’ll be at this job. I put my two week notice in last week. And even though this should be a tumultuous time, I have never felt more calm, and at peace, in my life. I like to think this is a gift confirming I’m on the right track.I don’t know if this quite qualifies as magic, but it is to me. My grandma died a few years ago, and my aunt visited and brought this journal of hers. She only filled in the first few pages but it’s amazing how much of her personality is present in her handwriting - just the shapes of the letters, not even the words themselves (of course, them too though).
The Secret Doctrines of Jesus by H. Spencer Lewis comes from the Supreme Grand Lodge of AMORC, the Ancient Mystical Order of Rosecrucians. They have an online presence with correspondence classes on esoteric/occult subjects. They are headquartered in San Jose, California and have local groups all around the world. They have a strong Egyptian motif. Very interesting stuff!
I found this old typewriter in a charity shop today! It’s fully functional and just needs a ribbon change!
Oh I love typewriters. I have one too, but yours is a beautiful colour. Mine is just grey.
Made this for Halloween 2017 and they’re hot glued in place, so not moving till I redecorate this part of the house. Most days I walk past them barely giving them a glance. Some days the sun comes through the window and lights them up causing me to stop and oggle their awesomeness.
Ooh I love it. I wish I had room for bat frens.
That is SO cool!
