Mortal eyes cannot perceive. So something not visible or tangible through regular sight.
Spirits of the past conceive. Family/generational magiq. A descendant? A specific one?
Look into the mirror a dream once grieved. If it’s a physical mirror, an heirloom? Or perhaps not a physical mirror. Eyes are the “windows” to the soul. Could they also be mirrors? Is there a specific person from the bloodline we need to activate the magiq?
I’m probably way off, but it’s a start?

I’m not sure it qualifies as knowledge, but I have an idea that’s very much in the infancy stage of becoming a theory. Granted I sped through much of the information and history of the Monarch Papers, and might have missed further elucidation on this, but perception seems intrinsically tied to magiq and changes in perception seem intertwined with both the furthering of ones abilities and the initial grasping of said magiq. Because of this, I’d wager, perception is a fundamental form of magiq inherent in people, and learning to manipulate your own perception may be both key and door to truly holding magiq in your hands.
I say this having performed none, so I may very well be in ignorance here.
I’ll admit I’m still catching up on things and magiq. I’m working my way through the fragments and pools of posts and information as I can. I have been reading and exploring the affinities as well. I am very interested in the way perception and individuality influences the affinities and their expression. I’m a poly and drawn to both Flinterforge and Thornmouth but see the affinities dovetailing nicely together reflecting my childhood love of books and language along with my near constant fidgeting and fixing. I guess a somewhat quiet Thornmouth (I haven’t posted anything or contributed) I guess I’d see the affinities for magiq in my case being somewhat passive perception. I’m very drawn to Astral Thinking and the Peering Arts I can see a lot coming from allowing the self to dissolve to allow a conduit for information and knowing to flow and fill the space.
I’ve left a small greeting post hinting at my ideas for dawning perception. When I can find an appropriate space I’ll share an idea I see forming in my minds eye
