Okay, Florist gets me. He knows what’s up. Just like everything and be utterly attracted to god-wizards and you should be just fine.
If you play me, you get + 3 on all lurking rolls, but -100 to any rolls on tetrahedron-based challenges.
We share the Tetrahedron penalty then

I have never done DnD before, but I have wanted to (I even have my own dice set). Could I join if it is something we do?
No Brendons allowed.
jk the more the merrier
I would also love to play that! Never played DnD before as well, but I do love tabletop RPGs. I like your idea to play as each other @Chordie, and if you play as Rev you also get +9000 on Meme knowledge
+9001*
And that was mostly a joke, but maybe xD
Fine! But I hope Robert plays as me in the Monarch Papers’ Universe DnD. That could be really fun
oh right, I forgot the “over” part XD
If you guys are interested, we could totally do a character creation session on Google Hangouts. Creating a character can seem a bit daunting, but it’s not so bad.
Also, if anyone is interested in podcast, Critical Role is a really good example of D&D run right, and it’s really interesting too. There’s also Friends at the Table that uses a different tabletop system and The Adventure Zone, which is an example of amazing roleplaying and storytelling (but plays loosely with the rules). TAZ is actually my favorite, but it’s maybe not the best example of the typical D&D campaign.
Alright but you have to play as me! Here, put on this tin foil fedora say random things. Perfect.
“So I woke up this morning and I just have to ask a question. Have you guys ever considered Magimystical Animal Control? Here, sit down, and let me tell you a story:”
Close enough?
It’s just like I’m in the room with me now!
Are you not in the room with you? Out of body spell?
A little half elf bard like myself
In all seriousness, please I am so down for this!
When we end up doing a campaign we should make a thread just for it, here in the cabinet. We should also just start a general schedule thread for events like that. Like one of those anyone can edit posts where we have timeslots and whatnot. Keep us all nice and organized.
Absolutely. We can start one now, if you want, for general non-campaign multiplayer games.
And when the discord server opens up to the public in fall, there will be a bulletin/updates channel for events
How does one play D&D online?
Basically, you use Skype/Discord/etc to connect all the players. There’s also software called Roll20 that can be used to manage players, especially if you use a tile-based system.
Technically, as long as you can communicate, you can do a campaign. But I’d say D&D is most fun when you can see/hear people and their reactions. However, you could still do it in any chat program. Even a play-by-post thing could be possible, but that can be hard for a DM to keep track of everyone.
