SOLVED: Fragment Ten: Gladitor : The Office of Kemetic Solutions

(Did anyone else have really odd dreams last night, those who preformed magiq specifically?)

Anyway what I thought was really strange was that halfway through the spell I was just cut off, my screen just went black and took awhile to get back on… Did KS know what we were trying to do?

This should be interesting.

Marty! How are you doing?

Any chance have you encountered the online Low? I’m curious how hard it is to find, and how Constance got involved, seeing as they’re relatively new.

I actually had a weird dream but it may be originated from my fever

Yeah, I’m curious on how exactly do we search for the low? I’m a thornmouth, so finding things should be easy by definition, but because I’m still settling in to the magnitude of how deep the rabbit hole goes, I don’t know where to start.

What “low”?

This is the problem. The Low’s been around a long time, but there were always folks in it who’d talk. Mind you, it’s always been an “us and them” situation, and as a nosy reporter I’ve always been a them. But something’s changed. It’s all gone quiet. Nobody’s talking. Which makes me think there’s some sort of higher organization, and repercussions for speaking out of turn. Which means “Constance” is risking their access for Aether, and for us.

Heard about things like libraries in the Low, but didn’t know there was a consolidated resource. Might be part of the sweeping changes that’ve happen in the past few months…

We’re in new, weird territory and I don’t like being in the dark.

It’s like physical/digital equivalent of the “Dark Web.” The magic underground. For a long time it was a loose organization of different groups all over the world who believed different things… but were unified by the same thing you guys are… magic is real, and something happened to make us forget it.

Lately, it’s all gone quiet. None of my contacts respond.

Constance mentioned that - said they could get in huge trouble for what they shared. That should confirm what you’re saying. Apparently we have a reason to be concerned.

I wonder if KS is the organization that’s doing this censorship? But what would they even have to gain by telling these groups to keep quiet? Are they hoarding magic for themselves?

Tin foil hat time!

So, KS is very corporate looking, but definitely has some magiqal stuff going on. And in the message from Aether, there were strong implications of kidnapping…

What if they’re kidnapping people who are magiqal, and using them for some nefarious reason, while also suppressing knowledge of magiq so that no one other than them has this power, making them the ultimate market force by having sole control over magiq itself?

I think it would wise and interesting to send a representative a “us” if you will.

…you want to send a mountaineer into Kemetic Solutions to be captured just to see what would happen?

I would so do it

God No! Send someone into the Low, with enough protection of course!

A Weatherwatch or Ebenguard would be the wisest choices.

REALLY glad you weren’t suggesting to send someone to KS :joy:

Was about to freak out that they got to you after you took part in the spell last night, and were using you to take more of us. :stuck_out_tongue:
