Bit of sad news now, this is Teddy my sister’s hamster who unfortunately died a few hours ago today
Aww I’m so sorry to hear that! Animals are so precious and losing them is always so difficult. Sending love.
I have some neat invertebrate pets but they’re less universally appreciated so I won’t post them unless everyone really wants to see them.
Which is Inka and which is Roo?
I want to see them!
Roo is the red merle who looks like a fox and inka is the big dopey blue merle
Here are a couple. Ezra my Costa Rican zebra tarantula. Pain and Panic my blue death feigning beetles (Panic is the one playing dead). Ila my tailless whip scorpion. There are quite a few more but those are my favorites. They’ve been blurred for those who don’t wish to see them.

This thread needs a warning that it may contain spiders I’m personally fine with them as long as they’re hundreds of miles away
I was actually considering mentioning in the first post that there are mentions of death here so I think I can make a spider warning too haha
Whoah! Wild! Maybe this is a silly question but I’ve never been guardian of any invertebrates before: do they have distinct personalities?
Most invertebrates don’t really have enough different behaviors other than basic survival to have much personality. Tarantulas do differ in temperament though. That species of tarantula is known for being feisty and defensive but Ezra is really docile.
Well now it needs a warning that it definitely contains spiders.
Another option (or another level of warning) is to maybe use the spoiler hiding thing? It’s behind the gear.
Yeah I can do that
I added warnings for pet death and “crawlies.”
Alright, I blurred mine too for extra safety.
Awe I’m sorry
I hate any kind of invert anywhere near me but I’m obsessed with looking at them and learning about them whip scorpions are BY FAR my favorite arthropod. No fangies or scorpion stings! Just awesome pedipalps!!
Me too! They’re my favorite but they’re much harder to acquire unless you live where they’re native.
